COURT ONE OF THE BOYES!!!!!

On Brigg Blog, Nigel Fisher indicates that NLC has received an application for change of use to Brown's old auction rooms in Old Courts, for retail use.
The premises are large and I was wondering what Leirum Developoments, of Bridlington, propose to sell.....all it says on the application is retail goods.
Does anyone have any idea?

Both tax evasion and avoidance can be perceived as forms of tax noncompliance, as they dmonstrate a range of activities that are unfavorable to the UK's tax system.
With the Prime Minister's personal exposure of Jimmy Carr, will the incident open a can of worms?
Does it now legitimise the media to pursue the tax returns of professional footballlers, party-political sponsors, why public achools are registered charities; why the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands are in an alleged position of undermine the Uk's tax structure.
How big is the can,,,,and how big are the worms ?

ReportExamining a generation of retail change in Brigg is not an empty process.
It demonstrates that Brigg is dynamic; the town is willing to change and that the community is not a dinosaur.
The retail character of Brigg has obviously changed over the last 20 - 25 years - some influencing forces have not be welcomed, but Brigg has learnt to adopt and adapt.
The real strength is that Brigg has retained its ambience - but the town is not perfect and people show concern - but the essence of such concern is not negativism, but is one of critical optiimsm - people care, people care about the state of the rive, people care about littler - being concerned is a vital component that keeps the town alive....and folks want to see Brigg as a place of increasing vigour.
An undynamic town is a dead town.

ReportGludiog--your nonsense claims that Brigg has loads of empty retail units has been called out in the past and shown to be far from the truth. It was presented as part of a larger belief that Brigg is in economic decline. I don't know why you persist in spreading doom and gloom--I know some people like to look on the negative side of things--but it gets old. Not only has the situation improved since you last made the claim (the old library has been taken up and clear interest is shown in the old auction room), but even since the beginning of this thread, as those College Yard units aren't empty. If you want to rattle on about Brigg's decline because there are two empty retail units, don't be surprised if you get called on it again. Negativity isn't welcome at the most fitting of times, and moreso when it's untrue.

Report'That said, you've counted four empty units in Brigg'
Sorry Snotor amongst other things you are unable to count .. read my post again.
Phred - I accept you are a fount of all knowledge and spurious facts and that you have to have the last say on everything so I bow to you and your historical knowledge of all things Brigg. Maybe in the next chapter you can advise us of what shops have gone or changed hands since the 1940's as we now seem to have moved back into the annals of history and aware from the present time.
Time I left this forum to be honest ... it seems to me like the forum rules for Brigg People are if you are Phred Phillips and his band of merry men you can say what you like unchallenged or if you are an outsider then dont make any comments because you will be berated and chided like a schoolboy.
