‘The event is something different – it will be a real test of endurance’

I WILL be competing in order to raise money for the Brigg LIVES charity.
A former employee at my butcher’s shop is a member there and he saved an old school teacher’s life after he collapsed at a football match.
It is a charity that is close to me.
I have been a member of the Scunthorpe and District Athletic Club for 10 years and competing in marathons for the past 12 years.
Doing this event will be a very big challenge but one I am looking forward to running in.
It is something different to do and with it being the first one of its kind it will be a test of endurance.
I train for up to 15 hours a week and put myself in the frame of mind to how I will run in the event.
I have run in five London Marathons and even that takes a lot of preparation to do.
