The Lidl store in Brigg is offering "the perfect Valentine's Dinner" for two for only £8, including bottle of wine, garlic baguettes, lasagne and profiteroles. Beat that for value! Lots of folk pay regular visits to Lidl in town just to see what household and general items they have on offer, in addition to foodstuffs.

..................I see the store has a bread making facility ready to install.....a sort of make, bake and take thing. Very good value.....but some folks get a bit confused with the German sounding trade names....and stick to the Heinz !!
But once you realise that a rose by any other name tastes just a good and offers value for your Euro.......you can even use a Euro in the trolley. (ps You find that much of the canned and cartoned items in most stores are produced in Eire.....possibly on the same production line, but then given a different trade label. In this country, for example, KP Nuts in Rotherham not only packet their own branded nuts, but packet nuts for other outlets......some contractors want 40 percent whole nuts, others, 20 percent.....but they all taste the same.)

ReportLidl's Brigg store, off Spring's Way, is a personal favourite of mine. Not doing a deal of shopping for household items, I like to be able to park up easily, nip in for what I want, get served quickly and be on my way home inside a few minutes. This is usually possible at Lidl. The famed "Perly" German lager is sold by the caseload at about a quid a bottle. Very nice and great value. My other staple buys are quality jars of coffee, tomato sauce of the spaghetti variety and their own brand grapefruit juice (in cartons). You can observe many people loading up trolleys doing the weekly shopping at Lidl and lots who just wander in to walk the aisles looking at the wide range of special offer family items, including clothes. Extensive free parking is offered on two sides of the store. My only fault with Lidl is it does not (currently) stock an extensive range of newspapers and magazines. Perhaps that will be rectified if the plans for the new Lidl store on Atherton Way get approved.
